We will send you items that will help you plan your Whitewater Adventure at Rivers. As many of you know, being a trip leader on any outing can be more hassle than its worth. Dealing with date selections, deposits, cancellations, transportation and the overall quality of the trip can make you wonder why you ever decided to turn your friends on to a real good time.
Experience has given us a great deal of insight into the easiest and best ways to insure a high quality, fun outing for you as well as the rest of the group.
• FIRST: YOU choose the trip date. You can be as democratic as possible, but there will always be individual conflicts.
• SECOND: You and your group need to fully understand the cancellation policy:
New River - A $10.00 cancellation fee will be deducted for each person who cancels more than 30 days prior to the trip. If you cancel within the 30 days of the trip No Refund will be given.
Gauley River - Gauley trips must be paid in full by July 31st. A $10.00 cancellation fee will be deducted from each person who cancels more than 45 days prior the trip. If anyone cancels within 45 days of the trip No Refund will be given. (Money forfeited from any cancellation will not be applied to outstanding balance.) All cancellations must be received by rivers in writing.
• THIRD: A 50% deposit is due to confirm the reservation. Make the deposit early. You do not have a reservation until the deposit is received. Remember due to reduction of carrying capacity on West Virginia rivers, spaces on Saturday and Sunday will go fast and we will strictly follow our reservation policy. Trips not paid in full 30 days prior to trip date will be cancelled without notice.
• FOURTH: Have your group make all the payments to you. You in return, send One payment to Rivers. This allow you some latitude with cancellations and additions to your trip and our paperwork much simpler. No personal checks will be accepted within 45 days of the trip. You will need to pay with credit card, money order, or cashiers check. It will make everything much easier if you make only 2 payments one for the deposit and the other for the ending balance. Complimentary trips will not be given to groups making multiple payments.
• FIFTH: Read all the information we send to you, as most questions your group will have are answered in our newsletter. If you have any questions, we will be more than happy to help. You may want to get the name of your reservationist, so when you call back with any questions, they will be able to help you without any problem. (Your reservation name is located on the top of your computer invoice.)
We realize how much effort you will undertake and genuinely appreciate this effort. To show our appreciation, Rivers will make your trip complimentary with 18 paid guests if you pay with one payment. In addition to these complimentary trips, you can be assured that at Rivers, we are dedicated to making your trip as safe and exciting as possible.
