The Lower New River is our most popular rafting trip and with good reason... it's great fun! Here the New River alternates from Class II - V rapids to pools, allowing paddlers to take a break between the action.

The Lower New River maintains the best white water flow in the east April - October, with spring rains traditionally bringing higher water levels. While rafting this section of the New River you will encounter "house-size" holes, gigantic boulders and "roller coaster" waves that make up some of the best whitewater in the world. In addition to great white water, you will encounter some of the most breathtaking scenery in West Virginia. This trip also ends beneath the world-famous New River Gorge Bridge-a spectacular sight in itself.

Rafting on the Lower New River provides challenges for novice (age 11 & up), intermediate and advanced paddlers alike. Even if you have rafted this section before, you can look forward to a new experience, as no two river trips are ever the same!
